Quic is techie nirvana, if you run a home lab, this is the ISP you have been looking for. Great community of like minded people on Discord.

Pros

Cheap static's and multiple IP's up to /28, user managed RDNS, user accessible ONT diagnostics.

Cons

Minimal support, occasional growing pains.

Support is abysmal at best. Have had internet performing at only 20% and still waiting for support now a week after, whenever we are called we are just told to wait for a callback that never comes.

Best Customer Service of any ISP i have ever received, a lot of people don’t understand that it is Enable contractors that are the issue getting connected in ChCh NZ, especially when speeds are a little lacking at the start, you can have an unlucky location on the NW like myself.

Customer for a few years, as the price has increased the speed has slowed down considerably. Daily lag spikes, now over 80ms to australian servers constantly. Support unwilling to resolve the problems when given clear test data showing speed issues caused upstream of end user.

Would give a 0 if possible. Unreliable, dishonest and the workers are clueless. They took alot more money from my account that we agreed upon, acknowledged it was a system error on their end and agreed to a refund.......let's just say im still waiting, they are extremely hard to get a reply from and have opened an investigation with the UDL.

None at all, everything they offer other companies also offer (if you ring and ask) and nowhere near the cheapest. Don't understand how they have any customers

Doesn't compare to starlink. Often low speeds especially for fibre, sitting around 30mbps. Not good for games

I have been with Hotshot on their basic plan and till I lost connection was acceptable. Connection lost, I had to insist on a technician calling. This happened within 24 hours but I had to lodge $199 with them before they would allow this. The fault was outside my premises boundaries an over a week later still waiting for a refund.
