We recently signed up to skinny unlimited broadband.

We were told we would be connected within 5 days which was great.

We have today cancelled our contract after 12 days of bad service, terrible communication and broadband speeds which makes dial up look like fibre.

Details below:
Pros
Cheap.
Cons
Lack of communication with customers, irrelevant automated emails which did not update us on our connection, rather tell us something we wanted to hear which would generally be the opposite of the actual situation. Once we responded to these emails, we would receive an email saying to"please disregard the automated emails from our system"

Did not receive 1 phone call after almost 2 weeks of bad service to help the situation, instead automated, impersonal emails.

No logging of faults case in the skinny system, which meant every time we called to discuss the connection issues, we had to repeat the entire situation to a new operator each time we called.

Multiple hangups while on hold, then no call backs to continue the conversation.

Told they were "too busy to make a call back" when we asked to not be put on hold and be called back once progress had been made.

2-3 day periods of no update information, only when we called could we find out what the progress was. Often previous conversations were not logged in the system so a chorus technician would have to be re-booked.

Absolutely terrible service, no apologies or consideration after 12 days of conversation with badly trained employees.

Would welcome a phone call from skinny management to discuss how bad their service is and what they could do to provide a better service.

Come on skinny! Make the call! Oh wait... You don't do out bound calls because you are too busy right....

Used their 4G service in rented property that did not have fibre yet...Fab service only changed as I relocated and they could not provide fibre service or 4G to new address
Pros
Always answered call. Never had an issue with their service provision. Not needing unlimited data I found the value great and no requirement of landline connection. 4G was still a good speed
Cons
Could do with more plan size options. While 100Gb suited me it's often not enough for families .

Right from the first contact with Primo Wireless, I received the best customer service I've ever had from a broadband provider. Now I'm a customer of Primo Wireless, I receive the best broadband I've ever had! Total awesome local company!

Terrible experience. Signed up two weeks ago, was supposed to have connection a week ago and I'm still waiting. I've called them no less than ten times, they just don't give a f***. Lodged a fault and technician was supposed to come over to the house, but left a message saying "he couldn't make it". Have to wait two more days now. Customer service says that all I can do is "wait" WHAT A JOKE. SLINGSHOT WORST INTERNET SERVICE you have made me lost my time.

Pretty average; after multiple modem replacements each year for three years when I decided to leave their offer to get me to stay included yet another free modem but this time that came with a contract of 12 months. Thanks but no thanks Spark, I actually like my internet to work and be reliable instead of crapping out every few months.

Farmside have you over a barrel and they know it. The system they use to inform you that you are reaching your data cap is designed to cause you to overuse and the charges are astronomical. Trouble is if you need 4G wireless internet you're choices are pretty limited.
Pros
Speed was reasonably consistent.
Set up and installation was a breeze
Cons
Overuse charges are eye watering.
As with all 4G it's expensive.
Effected by weather badly

When our broadband was snap, it was fabulous, the service was exceptional and we had no complaints at all. When it changed to 2 degrees, we have had regular drop outs, very slow speed, poor service as it takes forever to get an answer.
Pros
Price: They have continued our bundled landline, broadband price.
Cons
Poor service, slow speed, lately, increased drop outs.

I was with Actrix. Voyager is somehow involved. I was offered the opportunity to upgrade to VDSL both by email and by direct phone contact. The offer to change to VDSL promised:
Free upgrade
Free upgrade to VDSL
Includes modem rental
Includes upgrade to unlimited data (no more worries about your monthly data cap)

It won't cost any more than your current monthly plan which was around $95 on 5/9/17 for the period 5/9/17-5/10/17

Before the change I had an Internet/ Phone bundle with Actrix. After the change I had VDSL and VoIP
Its easy to set up and we'll help you.

Pros

Cons
The change over was messy:
My order was acknowledged 15 August
The router arrived and I tried to set it up.
I received a message 23 August stating Your service should be active now:
To get online, simply plug in the pre-configured Voyager router, connect your computer, and wait a few minutes

It wasn't easy to connect and it was very difficult to get help - so either many many others also had difficulty, or there were too few help desk staff or both
I waited for up to 2 hours for someone on the help desk to pick up

They responded to my email requests for help with a standard reply

on 23 August I emailed: I've already phoned twice and been put into a queue
I have booked geeks on wheels to get my communications up and running and I will send you that invoice.
At home I have
No phone
No internet
Cannot access any documents
Cannot open existing emails

I was advised by the sales pitch that it would be a simple matter. Since the wait time to talk to someone is quite long, you are either overwhelmed with problems or you have too few people on the help desk. I don't have the time to muck around with this

They tried to ring me on my home line - which was not functioning
They tried to ring me on my cell phone, but i was with clients and could not answer

Once I had given them remote access, the help desk did not log out and they did not advise when a fix had been made
My land line did not work for 5 days
My landline which had been been previously set up hide my number for security reasons, showed my number. It proved difficult to have this resolved

An invoice arrived 6-10-17 for a total of $172.16
Charges for October itemised: $8.69 router rental, $68.70 VDSL and $8.69 for VoIP
Charges for November itemised: Processing fee to transfer phone number: $13, Router rental $6.95, Shipping and Handling $13.00, Set up charges VDSL $42.61, VDSL unlimited $54.96, VoIP $6.95

It was a nightmare
